Just because conditions in the hotel transactions market aren't ideal doesn't mean deals aren't getting done, including some sizeable ones.
Even when deals volume is down and would-be buyers are sitting in wait-and-see mode, trophy assets are still sought after. In some cases, tougher industry conditions cause some buyers to act, knowing the competition will be muted and sellers may feel extra motivation to act.
