Grand Union chain snapped up by Luke Johnson-backed Draft House

The Draft House, the London-based pub operator founded by Charlie McVeigh and chaired by Luke Johnson, has bought the Grand Union chain of bars in the capital for an undisclosed sum.

The deal comprises six sites in Camden, Paddington, Chancery Lane, Farringdon and Kennington, plus the Trade Union venue in Wapping. The Draft House already operates 10 sites prior to the acquisition.
