GIC/Starwood back £500m NCP car park buy

GIC and Starwood Capital have jointly written a £275m senior loan to finance Davidson Kempner's £500m acquisition of the NCP car park portfolio, CoStar News can reveal.

In September, Royal Bank of Scotland and Blackstone agreed a £500m sale of 88 NCP car parks to Davidson Kempner, the US hedge fund known for its 2013 acquisition of Arora Hotels. The purchase included profitable car parks at Heathrow and Birmingham airports, and numerous other sites that could be redeveloped into residential or office schemes.
