HS2 Royal Assent to kick start 200,000 sq ft Brum office scramble

The news that HS2 is expected to be granted Royal Assent in The House of Commons this morning will be warmly welcomed across the Midlands business community and could activate up to 200,000 sq ft of office requirements associated with the high-speed rail route between London and the West Midlands, CoStar News understands.

The hybrid bill is widely expected to become an Act of Parliament this morning and means the West Midlands can press ahead with its plans to use HS2 to drive economic growth and deliver an additional £14bn to the UK economy.
