Orange County Population Outflow Slowed Through Mid-2022

Domestic Out-Migration Remains Elevated

The population in Southern California's Orange County declined by an estimated 9,821 residents between July 2021 and July 2022, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, stemming losses here from the year before. Orange County lost a meager 0.3% of its 3.1 million residents, nearly even with the pace of California’s statewide losses.
