JD Sports buys Go Outdoors for £112m

Sportswear retailer JD Sports Fashion has bought Go Outdoors for £112.3m , adding the 58-store chain to its portfolio of brands that already includes Blacks and Millets.

The Sheffield-based group, which sells outdoor gear ranging from tents to walking boots, was founded in 1998 by Paul Caplan and John Graham, with backing from YFM Equity Partners and, latterly, 3i Group Plc.
