Goldman completes £350m UK Alecta portfolio buy

Goldman Sachs has completed its acquisition of a 1.6m sq ft mixed asset UK property portfolio from Swedish pension fund manager Alecta for £350m.

After receiving bids for both the portfolio as a whole and US and UK only offers, Alecta carved up the sale of its $2.6bn (£1.84bn) UK and US portfolios, agreeing deals to offload the properties to Goldman Sachs and Blackstone respectively via JLL.
