US investor Fortress swoops on £500m M&S portfolio

US firm Fortress Investment Group is poised to buy a portfolio of Marks & Spencer stores which were put up for sale for £500m earlier this year, CoStar News can reveal.

Topland instructed agents at CBRE in April to sell the portfolio of 76 high street assets with an asking price of around £500m, reflecting a net initial yield of 5.87%.
