Hines cancels £30m move for Nike’s Glasgow store

Hines has cancelled the £30m acquisition of Nike’s flagship store on Buchanan Street, Glasgow from LaSalle Investment Management (LIM) following the vote for Brexit, CoStar News can reveal.

According to well-placed market sources, Hines had been under offer on the asset prior to the vote on EU membership, but has now chosen not to proceed with the deal. The off-market deal would have represented a net initial yield of just above 4% for a trophy asset on the most prized retail stretch outside of London.
