Tenant demand for industrial space across the St. Louis region slowed considerably in 2023 as measured by the amount of net absorption, or the change in occupancy, which reached its lowest level in 10 years. With a net gain of just under 1.5 million square feet, absorption for the year was 67% below the market’s 10-year average.
