Four experienced hires join new Los Angeles office as partners

Brokerage Retail West has expanded into Southern California with its first Los Angeles office, marking a significant step in the firm’s regional growth.

The new office is led by partners Mike Getz, Lee Ann Rosenblum, Jack Farlo and Austin Cole, who collectively bring more than 60 years of experience in retail real estate brokerage and advisory services throughout Southern California.

Lafayette, California-based Retail West said its founder, Matt Holmes, will also join the Los Angeles team as a partner, providing executive leadership and overseeing the firm’s strategic expansion efforts in the region. Holmes and Getz both previously worked at retail brokerage Epsteen & Associates, although at different times.

"As a partner at Retail West, I am working ... to spearhead the firm’s strategic expansion into Southern California through the launch of our new Los Angeles office," Getz said in a LinkedIn post. "This expansion is the culmination of my 19-year career at Epsteen & Associates, where I helped shape the commercial retail landscape across the region."Additionally, Laura Chico Arias has joined Retail West as head of business development, where she will lead strategic outreach, partnerships and growth initiatives as the firm continues to expand its Southern California footprint.

Rosenblum has completed more than 1,000 transactions totaling over $2 billion in value and is recognized for her advocacy for women in commercial real estate. Getz brings nearly 20 years of experience working with national retail brands across Southern California.

Farlo specializes in asset positioning and merchandising strategies for both institutional and private owners, while Cole advises clients on retail site selection and complex deal structuring throughout the greater Los Angeles market.
