China's Gingko buys £190m Bentalls stake as UK mall sales continue to boom

China’s Gingko Tree Investments has completed its acquisition of a 50% slice of the Bentalls shopping centre in Kingston upon Thames in Greater London from Meyer Bergman for £190m – a 4.4% yield - as in excess of £500m of UK shopping centres look set to trade imminently, CoStar News can reveal.

The 669,000 sq ft mall is anchored by the Bentalls department store and is home to 91 shops with retailers including Apple, Zara and Superdry.
