Colliers has expanded the role of its Canada CEO to include head of brokerage operations in the U.S. Northeast, a region where the real estate services firm sees major growth potential.

Effective Jan. 1, Brian Rosen will add the role of U.S. Northeast brokerage president to his current position as Canada president and CEO for the Toronto-based firm.

Rosen joined Colliers in 2019 as chief operating officer in Canada after working at Iron Mountain for over a decade and was promoted to president and CEO of Canadian operations the following year.

He takes on the added responsibilities as Colliers CEO Jay Hennick recently reported "excellent results" in the third quarter for the firm's global real estate services division that includes its brokerage. A surge in leasing and property sales and financing transactions helped Colliers achieve double-digit revenue growth year over year for the sixth straight quarter.

The northeastern United States represents "a significant growth opportunity for Colliers, and Rosen is uniquely positioned to lead it," the firm said in a statement.

The New Jersey native has dual citizenship and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Rosen, based in Toronto, helped Colliers launch its Strategy & Consulting Group and Asset Management business lines. In recent months, he led the firm's acquisition of Toronto-based real estate services firm Triovest.

The executive "has significantly grown our Canadian business despite industry headwinds," and his experience and connections on both sides of the border will help Colliers achieve its ambitious growth goals, global CEO of real estate services Chris McLernon said in the statement.
