Princeton, Texas, leads the nation in population growth

Emerging communities in North Texas are ground zero for rural sprawl

Based on the latest population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, five out of the top 15 cities for population growth are within Dallas-Fort Worth. Princeton leads the pack, followed by Celina, Anna, Fate and Melissa. The established cities of Plano, Frisco, Allen and McKinney have galvanized themselves as mature central business districts to the north, with these smaller towns establishing themselves as satellites to more mature communities.
