CBRE Investment Management has appointed Nicholas Dempsey to the role of senior director and infrastructure specialist in its client solutions team.

Based in London, Dempsey will be responsible for leading capital raising efforts for CBRE IM’s infrastructure investment platforms across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He will work with the firm’s investment teams and other client solutions officers on tailored solutions for institutional clients eyeing infrastructure assets.

CBRE IM, the United States-based investment management subsidiary of CBRE, said its infrastructure strategy is particularly focused on investing in assets that support lowering the amount of carbon emissions produced by the built environment.

David Son, head of infrastructure client solutions at CBRE IM, said in a statement: “Nicholas will play a key role in helping to grow this platform and connect clients with opportunities aligned with these long-term goals.”

He has 11 years of experience in real assets capital formation and investor relations. He joins CBRE IM from Infracapital, where he was a senior member of the capital formation and investor relations team, responsible for fundraising and client engagement across the UK, Europe and Asia. Prior to that, he held similar roles at AMP Capital, where he helped to raise over $1.5 billion in infrastructure equity and debt strategies, and at BlackRock Real Assets.

Chris Wood, head of EMEA client solutions at CBRE IM, said: “Nicholas joins us at a time when investor appetite for infrastructure is accelerating, driven by strong market performance and powerful structural tailwinds."
