JLL adds leasing advisory chief; Partners expands Texas team; Inland targets institutional business
JLL appointed Amanda Brimmer as chief financial officer for leasing advisory and head of corporate development. Brimmer is based in Chicago and will report to JLL CFO Kelly Howe. She will work with clients, including global business leaders, regarding growth strategies, JLL said.
Brimmer joined JLL after more than two decades at Boston Consulting Group, where she served most recently as a managing director and senior partner. She led BCG's industrial goods private investors and private equity practice, and handled merger and acquisition matters in multiple industries.
Peter Mainguy joined Partners Real Estate as an equity partner and executive managing director of services for the Texas region. Mainguy, based in the firm's Houston headquarters, joined Partners from CBRE, where he served most recently as senior managing director for Houston and Louisiana. He worked earlier as head of global real estate for Sysco Corp., where he managed an international portfolio.
Inland Real Estate Group appointed Lou Kruk as CEO and president of its institutional asset management practice. In his new role, Kruk will oversee investment, finance and related operations geared to institutional clients, the Oakbrook, Illinois-based company said. He joined Inland from MetLife Investment Management, where he was most recently senior vice president and managing director.
New hires, promotions and other personnel changes
Colliers hired Katie Datin and Nathan Crowe as senior vice presidents on the agency leasing team in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore regions. Datin and Crowe previously worked at Scheer Partners. Datin has nearly 15 years of industry experience, including a decade with Cushman & Wakefield. Crowe is a 20-year industry veteran, serving most recently as a principal and senior vice president at Scheer.
Commercial real estate finance provider Greysteel opened a new office in Omaha, Nebraska, led by veteran adviser David Carrig. The Bethesda, Maryland-based firm's new office is part of its ongoing Midwest expansion. Carrig worked previously at Baron Commercial Real Estate in Omaha, where he was a founder.
Investment and development firm Constellation Real Estate Partners entered the Phoenix region with the opening of a new office in Scottsdale, Arizona, led by 20-year industry veteran Sven Tustin. The Dallas-based company said Tustin will oversee its Southwest regional operations, identifying and acquiring land for industrial projects in the Phoenix metropolitan area. He joined Constellation from Conor Commercial Real Estate after previous work at Trammell Crow.
The Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors named Jeff Shaw, senior managing director emeritus at Bridge Investment Group, as its next president, effective Jan. 1. At ACBR, Shaw will lead operations of the board, among the nation’s largest commercial real estate organizations with more than 2,400 members, the association said. Shaw has more than 30 years of industry experience, having earlier served as CEO of Bridge Commercial Real Estate. Before that, he worked at several firms including Cushman & Wakefield, JLL and CBRE.
Safehold, a New York-based company focused on commercial ground lease transactions, said it appointed Michael Trachtenberg as president. Trachtenberg, who has more than two decades of industry experience, joined Safehold from real estate fund manager Lubert-Adler.
