Industry professionals got together to take a look at the first building completed at Trammell Crow's Science Square development in Atlanta that's part of a biomedical and technology district.

More than 150 people attended NAIOP Georgia's Summer Happy Hour Aug. 22 at Science Square Labs, Trammell Crow's just-opened 13-story building that anchors the evolving biomedical, technology and residential district in Midtown Atlanta.

Attendees got a first look at the tower designed as state-of-the-art laboratory and clean-room facilities for start-ups as well as growth-stage and established companies, NAIOP spokesperson Sarah Weston told CoStar News.

The Science Square "space was beautiful, the weather was perfect and it was so great to see friends in the industry,” Weston said. “This annual happy hour is always well attended."

Science Square is "the premier mixed-use innovation district in the Southeast dedicated to scientific discovery in the biomedical and technology fields," Trammell Crow's Katherine Lynch said in a statement.
