Jamaica Inn comes to market

Jamaica Inn, the hotel near Bodmin in Cornwall made famous by Daphne du Maurier's best-selling novel of the same name, has come to market for circa £2m.

The hotel at the centre of Bodmin Moor on the A30, the main arterial road through the centre of Cornwall, was once owned by the thriller-writer Alistair MacLean and is now being put up for sale by John and Wendy Watts, the owners for the last 40 years, who are retiring.
