Soho House & Sydell team up on Poultry plans

Private members’ club Soho House and New York hotel developer Sydell Group have teamed up to transform 27 Poultry, the former Midland Bank HQ in the City of London, into a luxury hotel, which as its centrepiece will see the iconic vault used in the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger converted into a trendy bar which will be open to the public.

According to documents seen by CoStar News, the pair has lodged plans with the City of London Corporation for a 255-bed hotel, replacing an existing planning consent for a 183-bed ‘six-star’ hotel scheme, and making the whole building accessible to the public for the first time.
