Cushman & Wakefield has hired Amy Calandrino as the newest director in its Orlando, Florida, office, as the firm looks to grow in Central Florida.

In her new role, Calandrino is expected to focus on retail, office and mixed-use properties. She joins the firm with over $100 million worth of transactions under her belt, representing a mix of local, national and global companies.

“The firm’s growth trajectory aligns with opportunities to expand advisory services in collaboration with brokerage colleagues and other service lines, especially in Central Florida’s vibrant retail market,” said Calandrino in a press release from the brokerage.

Calandrino joins Cushman & Wakefield after having owned and operated Beyond Commercial, a Central Florida-focused commercial real estate firm she launched in 2010.

Real estate companies have been adding brokers to chase business across Florida over the past year. Colliers recently formed a new industrial team to focus on Tampa Bay and Central Florida. And Avison Young added a Fort Lauderdale-based retail veteran in August.

In September, Cushman & Wakefield added a new multifamily lead at the group's Miami office.

Calandrino will be based at Cushman & Wakefield's Orlando office in downtown at 20 North Orange.
