Boris answers Hutchison request to call in £1bn Convoys Wharf

Mayor of London Boris Johnson has called in plans for the £1bn redevelopment of Convoys Wharf in London’s Deptford after a direct request from Hong Kong developer Hutchison Whampoa.

According to a report in Building Design Hutchison Whampoa, the site owner and developer behind the Sir Terry Farrell-designed plans, has “lost patience” with Lewisham council and has “[accused] it of making “unreasonable and unwarranted” demands and of pushing the scheme’s viability “to its limits””.
