Heading into 2024 and beyond, the availability of industrial-zoned land and local politics in New Jersey are likely to play prominent roles in determining the scale and schedules of future industrial projects in the Garden State. What’s becoming clear, however, is that developers will target more rural, and less populated, corners of the state for their future mega-distribution center developments. That contrasts with high-profile developments over the past few years in Carteret and Linden that were often focused on the proximity to the Port of Newark.
