GE Capital completes iconic The Ark sale

GE Capital Real Estate has completed the sale of its iconic UK headquarters, The Ark, in Hammersmith, west London, to a private overseas client of Citi Private Bank for £67m, a circa 7.5% yield, CoStar News can reveal.

The Ralph Erskine-designed office building close to Hammersmith Station is one of the capital’s most distinctive office blocks with a structure reminiscent of the Biblical Noah’s Ark and gained an unfortunate tag as a “white elephant” as it struggled for much of its 20-year life to secure tenants.
