When Nestle decided to close its factory in Hayes in 2014 and relocate the production of coffee and cocoa to Derbyshire there was uncertainty around the future development of the site. While there was the potential to return the site to industrial use, we saw a unique opportunity to apply our thinking on mixed-use and deliver a mix of homes and industrial space aligned with the future needs of London.
