DTZ: student rents in London continue to rise

The rising costs of education is hitting students looking to study in London severely, with university accommodation rents rising sharply in the last 12 months, according to a report from DTZ.

Student rents in London have increased by 5.3% on average in university provided accommodation and by 7.2% in the private operated sector, the report finds. However, in some cases rents have increased by as much as 20% in both the university and private provider sectors.
