GVA: business park take-up rises

New figures by GVA, the UK independent commercial property advisor, have shown a strong level of business park take-up in the second half of 2011 but indicate a challenging period ahead.

Take-up in business parks across Scotland represented 294,532 sq ft, compared to the five year average of 137,457 sq ft. The significant level of take-up is a result of deals in the West of Scotland, including an 80,000 sq ft letting to Scottish Power at Hamilton International Business Park.
