IPD: Pooled funds move into lower leverage era

Pooled UK property funds underperformed the direct property market last year by 100 basis points to 7.1%, according to IPD, as the market moves further into a new era of lower leverage.

Returns among unlisted funds were markedly better than the negative performance delivered by property REITs, masked by huge performance variation across both investment routes to the property market.
