Ikea builds Olympics blockbuster

Inter Ikea, the investment arm of Swedish furniture giant Ikea, is in talks to buy 15 acres close to the Olympic Park as it assembles land for a 2m sq ft mixed use scheme, CoStar News can reveal.

Inter Ikea’s development business LandProp is close to acquiring the land, principally from the City Hall and government-owned Olympic Park Legacy Company, in a move that would double the size of its proposed Sugar House Lane development to create a 30 acre project.
