Aviva set to buy Midtown development gem

Aviva has gone under offer to buy a £35m office block from Henderson Global Investors in a deal that will unlock one of the most valuable dormant development plays in London’s Midtown area.

CoStar News revealed in July that Henderson had appointed Jones Lang LaSalle to market Commonwealth House, a 1930s-built art deco office fronting on to New Oxford Street and High Holborn, close to Tottenham Court Road.
