Few economic headlines have garnered more attention lately than rising interest rates. The Federal Reserve has hiked rates by 375 basis points since March 2022 and by 75 basis points at four consecutive meetings since June. Market expectations are that the Fed will raise rates by another 50 basis points next week and then pursue smaller hikes through the first half of 2023.
