JLL has appointed Alex Browning to lead its West End office agency team from 1 January as part of a number of central London agency leaderships changes, CoStar News can reveal.
JLL said Paul Grindal, who has been head of West End office agency since 2023, will redirect his focus fully towards transactional and client work.
Browning joined JLL in 2011 as a graduate and has worked across the central London office market for the last 14 years, 12 years of those in the West End team. He has worked on some of the West End’s most high-profile leasing campaigns, including 65 Davies Street, Verde and 76 Southbank.
From 1 January 2026, directors Freddie MacGregor and Rory Paton will co-lead JLL’s City office agency leasing team, supporting Jeremy Attfield, head of City agency.
MacGregor also joined JLL’s graduate scheme in 2011 and has focused on City leasing for the last 12 years across schemes including 22 Bishopsgate, 50 Fenchurch Street and One Exchange Square. Paton has specialised in the central London leasing market for more than 20 years and joined JLL’s City agency team three years ago. He has advised on schemes including 2 Finsbury Avenue, 76 Southbank and Norton Folgate.
James Finnis, head of UK leasing advisory at JLL, said in a statement: “The West End team will continue to have excellent leadership with Alex’s appointment. He brings great insight and understanding of the West End market having undertaken some of the market’s highest profile transactions. The City agency team will benefit from Freddie and Rory’s dedicated focus and energy on the leasing market.
“Alex, Freddie and Rory understand the nuances and complexities of Central London and recognise how the market is evolving, and the fundamental changes that are happening which will dictate how office space is delivered and occupied in the future across our capital.”
