Industrial Property Sales in Boston May Have Bottomed Out

Institutional and Private Capital Have Carried the Bulk of Recent Rebound in Sales Activity

The sharp drop-off in the number of industrial property sales in Boston that began in mid-2022 leveled off at the end of the second quarter of 2024. Boston’s trailing 12-month sales volume mark of $1.76 billion for the second quarter was driven by a steady deal flow of larger building trades. While the sales total stands well below the $2.95 billion in industrial sales posted one year ago, it exceeded the first quarter mark of $1.62 billion, which marked a six-year low.
