John Hancock Buys Back Bay High-Rise

Clarion Partners Parts with 535-545 Boylston St. for $100.5 Million

Boston-based John Hancock Life Insurance Co. acquired 535-545 Boylston St. in its own backyard for $100.5 million, or about $527 per square foot. The pair of adjoining 13-story office towers were held in the portfolio of a separate account advised by Clarion Partners.
