A real estate investment trust with ties to global fund manager Cohen & Steers has made its first real estate investment through a joint venture with The Sterling Organization to purchase a Walmart Supercenter-anchored retail center within a growing Dallas-area suburb, in what is expected to be the first of many future acquisitions.
