Asbury Park, NJ, memorialized by Bruce Springsteen with his 1973 "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J." album," may be on the cusp of revival, with plans revealed to build a hotel, condos and a parking garage on the city's crumbling waterfront. Real estate investment company iStar has submitted a plan to the city that's part of a larger proposal to redevelop a 1 1/4-mile stretch of the Asbury Park beachfront involving more than 20 residential, mixed-use, hotel and infrastructure projects in one of the most ambitious urban revivals ever undertaken on the Eastern Seaboard.
