Unemployment rate falls to lowest level in nearly a year in Sacramento

The Sacramento region’s unemployment rate fell to 4.7% in March from a revised 5% in February, according to the latest jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It was the lowest unemployment rate since last May. March’s rate compares to California’s statewide unadjusted rate of 5.2% and 4.3% for the United States. A year ago, Sacramento’s unemployment rate stood at 4.9%.
