CoreNet Global New York, a nonprofit association representing corporate real estate executives and billed as the “Voice of the Tenant,” has named a 25-plus-year industry veteran as its new 2025 chair.

Mindy Williams, director and head of client development at professional services firm Turner & Townsend, will serve as chair while executives from firms including Gensler and CrowdStrike will join the board, CoreNet’s New York chapter said, adding Williams has experience across real estate, design, and construction. The group counts over 1,000 corporate real estate professionals as members and includes those from Fortune 500 companies generating over $1 billion in annual revenue.

At Turner & Townsend, which offers cost consultancy and project management services globally, Williams helped expand the firm’s profile and market share within the Eastern United States, CoreNet said. Turner & Townsend is majority owned by real estate giant CBRE.

The appointment at CoreNet in the largest U.S. office market comes as companies are seeking ways to better design relevant office space as hybrid work patterns take hold. Industry professionals have said employees spending just some days in the office means there’s an overall smaller need for space. Recent topics of discussions at CoreNet have included using technology such as artificial intelligence to help with optimizing meetings and collaboration.
