Joshua Strauss and Scott Zinovoy joined JLL’s New York retail team, where Strauss serves as an executive managing director and Zinovoy a senior vice president. The two will work alongside Vice Chairman Patrick Smith to expand the firm's retail leasing capability across New York and the nation, JLL said.
Strauss has nearly three decades of experience representing landlords and tenants in New York and major markets. He joined JLL after serving as president and co-founder of Dreamscape Retail & Entertainment and previously held senior roles at Newmark and RKF.
Zinovoy has more than a decade of experience focusing on New York and national tenant expansion, landlord representation and working with entertainment and experiential concepts. Together, Zinovoy and Strauss have consulted on several high-profile, mixed-use, entertainment and retail destinations throughout the country, including the Seaport in New York City, Bayside Marketplace in Miami, the Arcade in Nashville, Tennessee, and Rio Las Vegas.
Logistics real estate investment trust Prologis named Travis Harvey global head of development and promoted Sheila Sutton to senior vice president and head of development management for its U.S. East region. Harvey served as vice president of land development at Flagler Global Logistics prior to joining Prologis in 2015. Sutton previously served as vice president and development officer for Prologis' New York and New Jersey office. She joined the REIT in 2022.
Starwood Capital Group promoted Qahir Madhany to head of acquisitions in the Americas. In his new role, he will oversee the firm's equity investments, with a focus on sourcing and executing real estate investments throughout the region, Starwood Capital said. With over two decades of real estate investment experience, Madhany joined Starwood at the start of 2025 as a managing director; he previously served as a member of Blackstone Real Estate.
David Bassal joined Savills as a senior vice president to boost its industrial real estate practice across Quebec. Bassal reports to Ruth Fischer and will serve occupiers and owners throughout the region, Savills said. He joined the brokerage from Michael White Realties and brings over 20 years of commercial real estate experience to the role.
Rockefeller Group added Mitzi Jones as its senior managing director for the Southeast region. Based in Atlanta, the nearly 30-year real estate veteran previously served as the chief development officer for Atlantic Residential. In her new role, Jones will oversee Rockefeller Group’s development portfolio and pipeline that contains multifamily, industrial and office projects in several Southeast states including the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee, the firm said.
Lunada Rose Partners added Alexa Nourafchan as a senior associate. In her new role, she will work closely with leadership to source, underwrite and execute investments across the firm's real estate platform and support business development efforts and strategic investment opportunities outside of real estate, Lunada Rose said.
Houston-based Sparrowhawk, an industrial real estate investment and operating company, added Scott Brast as senior vice president of investment and capital markets and Peter Wismer as senior vice president of finance and financial reporting. Brast, who has over 35 years of commercial real estate investment and capital markets experience, leads investment sourcing, capital markets initiatives, strategic partnerships and acquisition execution across the firm’s portfolio, Sparrowhawk said. He joined the firm from American National.
Wismer brings a decade of accounting, finance and advisory experience. He joined Sparrowhawk from Deloitte. He will oversee the firm's financial reporting, accounting operations, forecasting, compliance, investor reporting and financial strategy initiatives, the firm said.
