More workers are competing for fewer jobs in Washington State

The state’s labor market has eased from historic lows, reducing worker leverage

Washington State’s labor market has loosened over the past year. According to new data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 1.6 available workers per job opening in the state in December, up from 1.1 the year prior.
