Executives

Steve Contos

Contos has been appointed as executive vice president and managing director of luxury and international for Davidson Hospitality Group. Most recently, Contos served as executive vice president of operations for Davidson Hotels and Davidson Resorts, where he joined at the inception of the resort vertical launch and subsequently led and grew a seasoned team of experts to bring iconic destinations to life through financial savvy, boundless creativity and innovative guest experiences.

Patricia Galas

Galas has been appointed as vice president of marketing at Trump Hotels. A seasoned hospitality executive with more than 15 years of experience, Galas joins Trump Hotels from Park Hyatt New York, where she served as senior director of marketing communications.

Patrick Short

Short has been appointed as president and chief operating officer at TPG Hotels & Resorts. Throughout his career, Short held senior leadership roles at several hospitality companies, including CSM Corporation, Peachtree Hospitality Management, Wischermann Partners, Kinseth Hospitality Companies and TPG.

General managers

Nils Bergmann

Bergmann has been appointed as general manager of The Tess, Autograph Collection in Atlanta. Most recently, he served as general manager of The Charter Hotel Seattle, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, where he successfully elevated the property’s performance and reputation in a highly competitive urban market.

Mike Bolick

Bolick has been appointed as general manager of Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa in Montauk, New York. He most recently served as the opening general manager of the Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg, Texas, where he oversaw the launch of the first full-service luxury hotel in the region.

Patrick J. Connors

Connors has been appointed as general manager of the Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson in Scottsdale, Arizona. Connors is a seasoned hospitality professional with a career built on delivering excellence in guest services, team culture and operational results.

Frank Cook

Cook has been appointed as general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New Orleans in New Orleans. He joins the hotel team after serving as vice president of operations for Hospitality America, in which he oversaw 19 Hilton and Marriott branded properties.

Manfred Steuerwald

Steuerwald has been appointed as general manager of Populus Denver in Denver. He took on roles as director of food and beverage in San Diego and director of operations at Hyatt Regency Denver before being tapped to lead Hyatt Regency Calgary — 20 years after his earlier tenure there — as general manager. He went on to serve as general manager of Everline Resort & Spa, a Destination by Hyatt property in Olympic Valley, California, and most recently, at Grand Hyatt Seattle.

Akash Timilsina

Timilsina has been appointed as general manager of the AC Hotel by Marriott Wichita Downtown in Wichita, Kansas. Prior to joining AC Hotel by Marriott Wichita Downtown, Timilsina served as general manager at the Hampton Inn Wichita Airport.

Sales and marketing

Matthew Davis

Davis has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel in New York City. He joined InterContinental New York Barclay in 2017 as director of business travel and luxury leisure sales, later becoming director of sales in 2020.

Michael Garrow

Garrow has been appointed as general manager of the Aspen Meadows Resort in Aspen, Colorado. He joins Aspen Meadows from Garden of the Gods Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he served as vice president of sales and marketing for four years.

Sharon L. Rodriguez

Rodriguez has been appointed as director of marketing of The Grove Resort & Water Park in Orlando. Rodriguez has held key leadership roles with renowned hospitality brands including Rentyl Resorts, Margaritaville Resort Orlando, Encore Resort Orlando, Karisma Hotels, Caribe Royale Orlando, Davidson Hospitality, and most recently, Remington Hospitality, where she served on the marketing and digital strategy team.

Food and beverage

Shaun Acosta

Acosta has been appointed as executive chef of the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco's signature restaurant MKT Restaurant & Bar in San Francisco. Most recently, Acosta served as executive resort chef at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, where he was responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including the open-air restaurant CAMPO Poolside and extensive banquet offerings.

Erik Dandee

Dandee has been appointed as executive chef of The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection in Sacramento. He joins The Citizen Hotel from Palm Springs, where he most recently served as area executive chef for Proper Hospitality.

Patrick Deore

Deore has been promoted to general manager of fine-dining restaurant Signature at the Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. Before stepping into his new role as general manager of Signature, he joined Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa as assistant general manager of Signature in 2022.

Jeff O'Neill

O'Neill has been appointed as executive chef of the Goldener Hirsch, Auberge Collection in Park City, Utah. O’Neill has cooked in some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens, including Restaurant Daniel and Le Bernardin in New York City, and has led acclaimed programs in Palm Beach, Miami, and beyond.

Ryan Seal

Seal has been appointed as executive chef at The Sea Ranch Lodge in Sea Ranch, California. Most recently, Seal spent the past two and a half years on the Mendocino Coast, where he established a culinary identity for the Greenwood Restaurant and Elk House at Sacred Rock Inn, creating a strong sense of place through food and community.

Dominique St. Pierre

St. Pierre has been appointed as senior sous chef at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown in Phoenix. In her most recent role as sous chef at The Phoenician, she was recognized for her talent and dedication, winning the Masters of the Craft competition at both the district and regional levels for the state.

Miscellaneous

Doug Bowman

Bowman has been promoted as hotel manager at the Hilton Columbus Downtown in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to his promotion, Bowman served as the hotel's director of food and beverage for the past eight years, overseeing all six dining outlets and the entire banquet operation.
