W.P. Carey Inc. (NYSE:WPC), a New York-based REIT specializing in corporate sale-leasebacks and buying single-tenant net-lease properties, closed on the acquisition of the 22-story 500 Jefferson building in downtown Houston from Brookfield Asset Management.
