WPP exchanges contracts on £115m purchase of FT HQ

UK investment manager M&G Real Estate has exchanged contracts to buy the Financial Times’ London headquarters for £115m and lease it back to advertising giant WPP.

As revealed by CoStar News earlier this month, WPP has been in talks to buy the building at 1 Southwark Bridge and sell it to M&G in a sale and leaseback deal. The deal is due to complete by the end of the year.
