Ithaca, NY, November 03, 2021 -- Hotel Ezra Cornell (HEC) is thrilled to announce that this year’s conference will be returning in-person on April 21-24, 2022 at the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration and the Statler Hotel in Ithaca, NY. Each year, HEC's theme inspires educational programming that highlights key subjects in our industry. This year, we are "honoring the resilience of people, service, and hospitality education" with our theme "Celebrate!".
Hotel Ezra Cornell is a 97-year tradition of the Nolan School, and one of the oldest organizations at Cornell. Over the course of three days, the student-run business conference connects hospitality industry leaders and members of the Cornell community from around the world with the students, faculty, and alumni of the preeminent hospitality program of the nation.
This year’s program of interactive workshops will feature world-class keynote speakers who highlight the importance of shaking hands and clinking glasses with the leaders who take hospitality to the next level. We will commemorate the successes of the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration, and celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Nolan School, with gratitude to the best and brightest who have paved the path for innovation. In addition to our in-person workshops and food & beverage events, HEC will be providing complimentary select educational programming available for interested viewers to stream through eCornell.
Leading this conversation will be HEC 97’s keynote panelists Keith Barr ‘92 CEO of InterContinental Hotels Group, Anthony Capuano ‘87 CEO of Marriott International, and Kevin Jacobs ‘94 CFO and President of Global Development of Hilton Worldwide, facilitated by Dean Kate Walsh, E. M. Statler Professor and Dean of the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with speakers throughout the weekend.
With an emphasis on returning in-person to celebrate the Nolan School and beginning to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, HEC will be focused on fostering an environment for attendees to interact comfortably while following all safety protocols to the highest degree.
