The Mitchell, a 305-unit apartment tower, is the first building to open at Centennial Yards, an ambitious project to develop a new village on a long-neglected site in downtown Atlanta.
Developed by CIM Group along with the rest of Centennial Yards, the Mitchell opened in 2025 as the first symbol of what's to come with the $5 billion project. Retail is located on the ground floors with a location of the local restaurant Busy Bee Cafe and Khao Thai Isan, a Thai tapas restaurant.
Like other properties within Centennial Yards, the Mitchell features access to multiple stops on Atlanta's mass-transit rail and bus lines and is a short walk to two of the city's largest sports stadiums and to Centennial Olympic Park. Centennial Yards itself will include entertainment venues, including a Live Nation concert space.
The 19-story Mitchell apartment tower was designed by the Atlanta architecture firms TVS and Goode Van Slyke. The project won a 2026 CoStar Impact Award as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the Atlanta market.
