US hotel hires and promotions: Virgin Hotels Collection appoints CEO

Kaplan has been appointed as senior vice president of marketing at EOS Hospitality. Most recently, Kaplan served as vice president of marketing for José Andrés Group, where she oversaw brand, digital, content strategy, public relations, creative and partnership efforts across the organization's portfolio of award-winning restaurants, media ventures and consumer products.

Margison has been appointed as chief executive officer of Virgin Hotels Collection. Margison, who has been serving as interim CEO for Virgin Hotels since October 2025, has been with Virgin Group since 2015 and previously served as chief commercial officer.

Sandoval has been appointed as chief executive officer of Spire Hospitality. He joined the company in 2014, helping strengthen Spire Hospitality's operating platform, advance strategic initiatives and improve operating performance across its hotel portfolio.

Bhatti has been appointed as general manager of the W New York - Union Square in New York City. Prior to joining W New York - Union Square, he served as the hotel manager of Hotel Arts Barcelona, where he oversaw a comprehensive, multiyear renovation and repositioning project while managing one of the company’s most complex operations.

Grenier has been appointed as assistant general manager of The Wilson Hotel, Residence Inn by Marriott in Big Sky, Montana. He joined The Wilson Hotel in 2024 as director of front office and quickly established himself as a trusted leader dedicated to operational excellence, team development and elevated guest service.

Matter has been appointed as general manager of Hayes Mansion, Curio Collection by Hilton in San Jose, California. She arrives at Hayes Mansion from her most recent role as general manager of The Clift Royal Sonesta in San Francisco, where she directed operations for the 372-room luxury hotel and implemented strategies that improved guest satisfaction scores and strengthened profitability.

Renouf has been appointed as resort manager of the Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. Prior to joining Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa, Renouf served as director of food and beverage at InterContinental Boston, where he led a 130-member team overseeing a $32 million food and beverage operation, spearheaded renovation projects and helped the hotel achieve Forbes Four-Star and AAA Four Diamond recognition.

Skyvara has been appointed as general manager of the M Social Hotel Sunnyvale in Silicon Valley, California. Most recently, Skyvara served as general manager of The Lodge at Torrey Pines, where he upheld AAA Five Diamond standards while advancing guest satisfaction, service culture and overall asset performance.

Harris has been appointed as director of international commercial strategy for Halekulani and Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani in Honolulu. He brings more than 25 years of global hospitality leadership experience across Asia and North America, with a background spanning luxury hotel operations, commercial strategy, asset repositioning and market development.

Lowe has been appointed as chief business development and brand strategist at Cliff House Maine in Cape Neddick. Prior to Cliff House Maine, Lowe served as vice president of marketing and business development for Chatham Bars Inn.

Walters has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at the M Social Hotel Sunnyvale in Silicon Valley, California. A Silicon Valley native, Walters has held leadership positions across a number of prominent hospitality brands including Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, Kimpton, Starwood, Hyatt Centric Santa Clara Silicon Valley and Hyatt Place Santa Barbara.

Aguilar has been appointed as executive chef of La Quinta Resort & Club in California. He brings more than two decades of culinary experience spanning luxury resorts, private clubs and high-volume hospitality destinations across the Southwest and beyond.

Elkaswani has been appointed as director of food and beverage at the W Philadelphia. Most recently, he served as director of event management and food and beverage operations at W South Beach.

Hasho has been appointed as corporate executive chef at Omni Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, he served as resort executive chef at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, where he played an integral role in the property’s debut, leading menu development and execution while overseeing culinary operations across 13 outlets, in addition to a robust banquet and catering program.

McCollum has been appointed as executive chef of Hotel Bourré Bonne, Curio Collection by Hilton in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2017, McCollum, with his wife, Aenith McCollum, opened Chik’n & Mi, the chef-driven restaurant that became one of the city’s most beloved dining destinations.

Michael has been appointed as director of food and beverage at SkyBeach Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida. Most recently, he served as senior food and beverage operations manager for Manthey Hospitality, where he oversaw food and beverage operations for the company’s dining cruises and waterfront venues throughout the Tampa Bay region.

Salinas has been appointed as executive chef at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas in San Antonio, Texas. He served as executive sous chef at Hyatt Regency Hill Country before becoming executive chef at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, where he played a key role in enhancing the resort’s culinary program as part of its transition to Grand Hyatt Indian Wells.

Shabazz has been appointed as director of lifestyle at Detroit Foundation Hotel. A creative strategist and cultural programmer, Shabazz brings over 20 years of extensive experience developing community-focused experiences and brand partnerships across hospitality, lifestyle and cultural spaces, including leadership roles with Soho House Austin and The LINE Hotel.

Stoltz has been appointed as managing director of Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. She joins Kona Village from The Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort in Vail, Colorado, where she most recently served as general manager.
