While sustainable development is nothing new, the hospitality sector has seemed to lag behind due to high demands on energy and water usage and the large demand of daily laundry. But that didn't stop the newly built Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown, the city's first LEED-certified hotel property, which was just awarded LEED Silver certification by the USGBC.
