HANOVER, Md., Sept. 13, 2016 -- The Cordish Companies today broke ground on the new $200 million flagship LIVE! HOTEL at Maryland Live! Casino, in Hanover, MD. The 350,000- square- foot property features a 17-story hotel tower, making it the tallest building in Anne Arundel County, with 310 guest rooms, an event center, meeting spaces, new dining options, and a day spa/salon. It is the first hotel in the country to carry the Live! brand. Live! is one of the most prominent and successful names in entertainment, welcoming over 50 million guests annually across the United States.
Located within the Arundel Mills Commercial district next to Arundel Mills Mall – Maryland's #1 tourist destination attracting more than 14 million visitors per year – Live! Casino & Hotel will pair dynamic gaming entertainment at one of the nation's top grossing commercial casinos with luxury accommodations for guests seeking a world-class experience paired with Live!'s legendary reputation for fun and spontaneity.

With completion expected in the first quarter of 2018, Live! Hotel will feature guestrooms designed with a mix of modern style and chic, urban flare, along with public spaces showcasing floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings accented with striking chandeliers, and wood and polished marble throughout.
The Grand Event Center will house a 1,500-seat concert venue with built-in performance stage and banquet seating capability for up to 800 guests. New dining options range from a 24-hour Café with community seating to a Gelato Bar offering expertly crafted espresso, coffee drinks, pastries and a variety of Italian specialty gelato. Guests can also relax at the Luxury Day Spa & Salon, featuring high end products, a full menu of spa services, and a state-of-the art Fitness Center.
