As Live Nation Entertainment expands across the country, it seems logical that the company would add one of its new concert venues to a downtown Atlanta project that's already near a variety of entertainment options.

Live Nation will construct a 5,300-seat venue at Centennial Yards, a $5 billion mixed-use project developed by CIM Group. The mid-sized performance space will provide an alternative to two nearby event spaces able to host the largest concerts, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena, and to the many smaller spaces scattered around downtown and other neighborhoods.

The project won a 2026 CoStar Impact Award for lease of the year for Atlanta, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.

The Atlanta venue is one of about 20 new spaces that Live Nation plans to open in the coming months, including venues in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Portland, Oregon.

About the project: Live Nation Entertainment expects to open its new venue at Centennial Yards in the third quarter of 2027.

What the judges said: Live Nation's decision to locate at Centennial Yards "is just one more factor supporting the narrative around the revitalization of Atlanta's Downtown," said Lisa Jebodhsingh, senior director of research for the Southeast at JLL.

They made it happen: From Live Nation Entertainment, Ariel Burman, vice president of development and real estate, and Emilia Nolasco PMP, senior project manager; and from Live Nation's Blueprint Studio division, president David Codiga, senior vice president Sam Winter and senior design manager Chase Muchow. From CIM Group, managing director of development Bradley Aaronson, first vice president of construction Brandon Dexter, vice president of development Eric Piner, director of preconstruction Brad Englund, landlord representative Ben Reeves of Centennial Yards Co., and Heather Moon, vice president of leasing.
