Emilia Howard, a broker with Miami-based Gridline Properties, has been promoted to senior associate and leasing director at the firm.
In addition to leading Gridline's leasing team and providing strategic direction, Howard will oversee its business development strategies and manage relationships with landlords, the brokerage said. Howard has helped the company broker hundreds of commercial leases across the retail, office and food and beverage segments since joining Gridline in 2019, the firm said.
Howard also helped on the deal that resulted in energy drink company Monster Energy opening its first Miami office in Wynwood. Gridline represented landlord Big Move Properties in that transaction. Howard also helped facilitate a number of other deals at the same property that resulted in it being fully leased.
Founded in 2018, Gridline Properties is led by Alfredo Riascos. The company's office is at 101 NW 8th St. in Miami's historic Overtown neighborhood and only a few blocks from downtown Miami.
Howard and the company have worked to bring tenants to different neighborhoods around the city’s urban core, helping revitalize neighborhoods including Wynwood, Little River, Overtown and Allapattah.
Before joining Gridline, Howard worked for 15 years in retail management.
