St Modwen Logistics Hires Segro Manager
St Modwen Logistics, the Blackstone-owned UK industrial developer and manager, has appointed Adam Haley as a director in its portfolio and asset management team. Haley, who has more than 15 years industrial and logistics experience, joins the company from Segro, where he managed the firm’s national markets portfolio. He also spent time at DHL, gaining occupier experience by expanding and managing the third-party logistics provider's Midlands portfolio. Haley will work with Gordon Kellie, St Modwen's head of portfolio, to improve and expand its customer relationships and meet requirements.
Gerald Eve Poaches Knight Frank London Agent
Gerald Eve, a Newmark company, has bolstered its commercial valuation team with the recruitment of George Chiverton from Knight Frank. Chiverton becomes a senior associate in the commercial valuation team at the firm, which describes him as being experienced in valuing high-profile assets across several sectors. As well as spending seven years at Knight Frank, where he was valuation and advisory associate, Chiverton also worked at LSH for four years and was a trainee surveyor at Savills. Michael Riordan, partner and head of commercial valuation at Gerald Eve, said: "[George's] appointment will further strengthen our valuation capabilities helping us to deliver on growth ambitions for [the firm] and our clients."
Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park To Host Charity Races

UK life sciences property developer Bruntwood SciTech is teaming up with law firm Hill Dickinson to sponsor and host the LandAid North West 10k and 5k runs. The races will take place on 6 June at the firm's Alderley Park development in Cheshire. Starting from outside Glasshouse, the park’s 150,000-square-foot tech and innovation hub, the route will see runners trek through 400 acres of parkland, woodland and farmland. Funds raised from the event will go directly to LandAid, the property industry charity, which supports accommodation projects for the homeless. Josh Whiteley, commercial director at Bruntwood SciTech, said: "After the success of last year’s event, we can’t wait to welcome runners to Alderley Park again, to help support tackling youth homelessness."
Fisher German Picks Experienced Head To Lead Industrial

Experienced industrial and logistics broker Laura Sutton has joined Fisher German as a partner in its London office, where she will lead its operation across the capital and South East. Sutton, who joins with more than 30 years’ experience in commercial property, has occupied senior positions at Savills and JLL. Fisher German describes her as having "superb knowledge of London’s industrial property market, as well as marketplaces, with a strong industrial presence right across the UK". Sutton will also support the company's national growth strategy in the sector. Mike Price, head of commercial transactional at Fisher German, said: "The appointment of Laura as a high performer in the sector demonstrates our commitment to this expansion".
Hines Veteran Promoted to CFO Europe as Braaten Retires

Hines, the global real estate company, has promoted company stalwart John Carr to chief financial officer for Europe, succeeding David Braaten who will retire. Carr joined Hines in 1997, becoming regional controller for the American West region. He then moved to Beijing between 2006 and 2011 as his role was broadened to include Hines’ Asia-Pacific Region, before returning to the US and continuing to serve both regions until his appointment to the European leadership team. Braaten steps down from the role after 30 years as an "integral part of Hines’s senior leadership team". Lars Huber, Hines Europe chief executive, said: "John’s encyclopedic knowledge of Hines and what makes us great, deep real estate sector experience and broad financial background makes him the perfect person."
LondonMetric Adds Sandy Gumm to Board

LondonMetric has named experienced real estate operator Sandy Gumm as a non-executive director. Gumm is an Australian-qualified chartered accountant with more than 30 years’ of commercial real estate and finance experience. She was most recently a non-executive director of LXi REIT and was a non-executive director of Secure Income REIT prior to that. Gumm qualified as a chartered accountant in 1992 and worked for KPMG for nine years in Sydney and London, before becoming group financial controller of Burford Holdings in 1995. Alistair Elliott, chairman of LondonMetric, said: "The company will benefit from her significant real estate and finance experience."
Former Colliers Managing Director Takes CEO Role

Experienced property director Andy Hay has been appointed by real estate consultancy Hollis as chief executive as it looks to firm up its revamped leadership team. Hay, who starts in May, is asked to raise the firm's turnover in the next five years to £100 million as part of wider growth plans. Hollis said he brings adds a "wealth of expertise and experience in strategic leadership" in the property sector, having worked at CBRE, where he held positions on the global asset services and EMEA operations boards. Hay was more recently managing director at Colliers, where he was responsible for delivering the first pan-European property management service line. He will take over from interim chief executive Digby Flower, who joined the business in September and steps into the role of chairman.
